First Quarter

The game commenced with both teams displaying strong defensive plays. The Cavs managed to score 25 points in this quarter, slightly trailing behind the Suns who secured 26 points. Donovan Mitchell contributed significantly for Cleveland with his scoring prowess and playmaking abilities.

Second Quarter

As the second quarter unfolded, both teams continued their competitive exchange on court. The Wine and Gold added another 22 points but were unable to surpass Phoenix's consistent performance as they matched their first-quarter output of 26 points.

Third Quarter

The third quarter saw a pivotal shift as the Valley took control of the game by scoring an impressive 45 points compared to Cleveland's 32. This period highlighted some defensive lapses from Cleveland that allowed Phoenix's shooters more open looks at the basket.

Fourth Quarter

In an attempt to mount a comeback during the final quarter, Cleveland scored their highest of any period with 34 points; however, it was not enough against Phoenix’s solid defense and effective fast breaks which resulted in them adding another 29 points onto their tally.

Throughout this encounter, Jarrett Allen stood out for his rebounding efforts and inside presence while Thomas Bryant showcased versatility contributing across various facets including assists and rebounds alongside his scoring duties.

Despite falling short in this contest against one of Western Conference’s formidable squads - there are positives that can be drawn from individual performances within 'the Land'.

Fans can look forward eagerly towards seeing how these lessons translate into future games starting February when they face off against Portland Trail Blazers at Moda Center scheduled for February 1st at approximately around late evening hours (9:00 PM EDT).
