Did the Cleveland Cavaliers' Overtime Struggles Against Detroit Pistons at Little Caesars Arena Cost Them the Game?

First Quarter

Second Quarter


However, as the second quarter unfolded, momentum shifted towards Motor City. The Cavs struggled offensively, managing only 19 points compared to Detroit's 23. Despite Evan Mobley's defensive efforts with multiple blocks and rebounds, Cleveland's offense faltered under pressure from Detroit's aggressive defense.


Third Quarter


In an attempt to regain control during the third quarter, Tyrese Proctor stepped up for Wine and Gold by adding crucial points and assists. Yet it was not enough to prevent Detroit from taking advantage of their opportunities on fast breaks and second-chance points. The Pistons scored an impressive 35 points this period while holding Cleveland to just 30.


Fourth Quarter


The fourth quarter saw both teams battling fiercely as they exchanged leads multiple times. Donovan Mitchell showcased his scoring ability for Land but faced stiff resistance from Bad Boys' defense led by Jalen Duren’s relentless rebounding efforts that kept them within reach throughout regulation time.


Overtime
