At the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, fans witnessed an intense battle where both teams fought hard to establish dominance. The Mavericks started strong, putting up 26 points in the first quarter and following it up with 29 points before halftime. However, their momentum waned as they managed only 24 points in the third quarter and were held to a mere 11 points by game's end. Despite their efforts, they trailed behind as Utah took control of each quarter scoring consistently high - 37, 25, 31 and finishing strong with an impressive final quarter tallying up to 34 points.

The Mavericks' offense struggled throughout the night against Utah's defense. They shot only forty percent from field goal range and twenty-eight percent from beyond the arc on forty attempts. From free throw line too they could not capitalize much scoring just five out of ten attempts taken. On contrast to this was Utah's remarkable fifty-one percent shooting from field goal range which included seventy-one percent two-point shooting accuracy on fifty-two attempts.

Dallas did manage some positive stats despite their difficulties; they accumulated twenty-eight assists over four quarters but also turned over ball sixteen times which proved costly against an opponent who scored eighteen points off those turnovers alone. The bench contributed thirty-seven points for Dallas while starters seemed contained by Jazz’s defensive setup.

Defensively speaking for Dallas there were some highlights including six steals and five blocks but these numbers paled when compared to what Utah put forth – nine steals and six blocks contributing significantly towards their victory margin which peaked at thirty-nine point lead during one stretch.

Looking ahead for Dallas Mavericks fans is another opportunity for redemption as team hosts Portland Trail Blazers at American Airlines Center located in Dallas on January third scheduled tip-off time is set for five-thirty PM Central Time Zone (CT). Fans can catch all action live on BSSW network channel number six hundred seventy-six or ROOT Sports NW channel number six hundred eighty-seven depending upon location preference.
