The Mavericks have been showcasing a strong performance on their home court. In their last three games, they've displayed an impressive offensive prowess. Despite a tough loss against the Pacers with 111 points scored and a defensive rating that left much to be desired (121.5), they bounced back against the Suns with an authoritative 123-point game and improved defensive play (defensive rating of 114.7). Their offense was particularly potent from beyond the arc, hitting 43 percent of their threes.

Their most recent home victory over the Spurs by a scoreline of 116-93 highlighted their ability to dominate both ends of the floor with an outstanding effective field goal percentage (EFG) of 59 percent and an even more impressive defensive rating at just over 88 points per hundred possessions.

The Mavericks' trend suggests that when they get it right defensively, combined with their efficient scoring ability - especially from two-point range where they've been shooting above fifty percent - they're hard to beat. The team's bench has also been contributing significantly, adding depth and versatility during crucial moments.

On defense, Dallas will need to focus on limiting fast break opportunities where Miami excels and ensuring that ball movement doesn't lead them into foul trouble which has been an area needing attention in past games.

As we approach this matchup at American Airlines Center – known for its electrifying atmosphere – it's clear that maintaining these positive trends could be key for Dallas securing another win in front of their home crowd.
