In their last meeting on April 21st, the Mavericks fell short against the Clippers with a final score of 97-109. Despite a valiant effort in the third and fourth quarters where they scored 34 and 33 points respectively, it wasn't enough to overcome the Clippers' consistent scoring across all quarters. The Mavs showed resilience but struggled with field goal percentages at only 39 percent compared to the Clippers' more efficient 46 percent.

The Mavs' defensive efforts were notable with nine blocks in that game but were overshadowed by their -12 plus-minus rating indicating that when certain lineups were on court, they struggled defensively. With an assist-to-turnover ratio of just 1.75 and only making half of their fast-break attempts, there's room for improvement in transition play and ball handling.

On April 14th against Oklahoma City Thunder, DAL faced a tough loss with an overwhelming deficit ending at 86-135. This was a game where every statistic seemed stacked against them: from shooting just 33 percent from field goals to allowing OKC Thunder's lead as high as 58 points. It was clear that defense was an issue as they allowed OKC Thunder an offensive rating of over double theirs.

However, not all is bleak for DAL fans; there's hope stemming from another recent game against Detroit Pistons on April 13th where despite losing by a margin (89-107), DAL showed signs of strong bench performance contributing impressive numbers with bench points totaling at more than two-thirds of those scored by starters.

Looking ahead at this upcoming clash between DAL and LAC on April 28th at American Airlines Center – it’s evident that if Dallas wants to come out victorious they need not only rely on star players but also extract significant contributions from role players offensively while tightening up defensively across all positions.

The key matchup will likely be between both teams’ perimeter shooters given LAC’s impressive three-point percentage last time around; hence perimeter defense will be crucial for DAL if they wish to contain LAC’s sharpshooters.

Fans can catch this highly anticipated matchup live on ABC TV network scheduled for tip-off at exactly half past two in the afternoon Central Time Zone (2:30 PM CT). With home-court advantage this time around and lessons learned from previous encounters – expect Dallas Mavericks ready for redemption as they aim not just compete but conquer over LA Clippers come endgame buzzer!
