At Ball Arena, the home crowd witnessed the Nuggets struggle to find their rhythm against a determined Thunder squad. Despite having home-court advantage and an impressive assist tally of 30, the Nuggets were unable to capitalize on their playmaking abilities. The team's shooting percentages told a story of missed opportunities; they shot only 42 percent from the field and an underwhelming 27 percent from beyond the arc.

The Thunder dominated various aspects of the game, including fast-break points where they outscored the Nuggets by a significant margin with 25 points to Denver's 13. Oklahoma City also showcased their defensive capabilities by registering eight blocks and ten steals throughout the contest.

Denver's bench contributed commendably with 31 bench points but was overshadowed by Oklahoma City's bench who added an impactful 28 points to their total score. In terms of rebounding, both teams fought hard on the boards; however, it was Oklahoma City that came out on top with a total of 55 rebounds compared to Denver's respectable but insufficient count of 44.

A key factor in this matchup was turnovers; while both teams managed to keep them relatively low – Denver at seventeen and Oklahoma City at twelve – it was how each team capitalized on these turnovers that made a difference. The Thunder converted these opportunities into an additional twenty-five points whereas the Nuggets could only muster fourteen points off turnovers.

In terms of individual performances for Denver, there were moments that shone through despite being overshadowed by Oklahoma City’s dominance in scoring efficiency and possession control throughout most periods.

Looking ahead for fans eager to support their team after this tough outing: The next game for Denver will be held right here at Ball Arena against Charlotte Hornets on January first at seven o'clock PM Mountain Time.
