The Nuggets set the tone early on by dominating the first quarter with 37 points to the Spurs' 18. The team's offensive prowess was evident as they shot an impressive field goal percentage of 55 and were particularly effective from inside, hitting a remarkable 70 percent of their attempts in paint.

Denver's defense was equally formidable; they amassed a total of five blocks and an impressive thirteen steals over four quarters. Their defensive efforts limited San Antonio to only two brief moments leading during which their biggest lead was just two points. A key factor contributing to Denver's success was their bench performance which contributed forty-seven points to their overall score. Additionally, Denver capitalized on turnovers by scoring twenty-seven points off them while maintaining possession effectively throughout most of the game.

On San Antonio's side, despite being outplayed for significant stretches, they managed to put up respectable numbers including one hundred six total points and forty-nine rebounds – slightly more than Denver’s forty-four rebounds. Their bench added thirty-five points but it wasn't enough to counteract Denver’s robust offense.
