Nuggets Look to Cement Dominance Over Hawks in Mile-High Matchup

The Denver Nuggets are gearing up for what promises to be an electrifying encounter against the Atlanta Hawks at the Ball Arena. Coming off a resounding 130-101 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on March 31, where they led for over 35 minutes and boasted a staggering 29-point lead at their peak, the Nuggets seem poised to continue their dominance on their home court.

In that game, Denver's offense was nothing short of spectacular, with an effective field goal percentage of 70 and a true shooting percentage matching that figure. They rained down threes with precision, hitting an impressive 64 percent from beyond the arc. The team's efficiency game score stood tall at 118.6, reflecting their ability to convert possessions into points effectively.

However, it wasn't just about scoring; Denver also showcased its defensive prowess by limiting Cleveland to just a point per possession while themselves scoring at a rate of 1.32 per possession. This balance between offense and defense is what makes them such a formidable opponent.

The Nuggets did stumble slightly in their previous encounter against the Minnesota Timberwolves on March 30th where they lost by a margin of -13 points in plus-minus terms. Despite this setback, they showed resilience by outscoring Minnesota in the final quarter and will look to carry that momentum forward.

Denver's matchup against Phoenix Suns on March 28th was another close affair but ultimately ended in defeat with only five fast break points compared to seven for Phoenix – highlighting an area for potential improvement.
