The Nuggets started strong out of the gate with an impressive first quarter, putting up 31 points against the Clippers' 20. However, momentum shifted in the second quarter as they were held to just 18 points while their opponents surged ahead with 33 points. The third quarter saw a more balanced effort from both sides as Denver managed to add another 21 points to their tally. In a dramatic final push during the fourth quarter, they scored an additional 30 points but ultimately fell short by two.

Their fast break opportunities were also capitalized on efficiently; converting at a rate of over half led to scoring 20 fast break points.

Despite outrebounding their opponents with a total rebound count of 60 compared to LA's total rebounds of just under that number and leading for over one-third of game time with their biggest lead being an impressive seventeen-point margin, it wasn't enough for victory. The team's overall field goal percentage stood at around forty-three percent which included making eleven three-pointers out of thirty-five attempts.

On defense, Denver managed four blocks and three steals but struggled slightly more than usual in containing fast breaks and defending without fouling – drawing twenty personal fouls throughout playtime.

Looking towards individual contributions for Denver Nuggets: assists were distributed generously among players totaling twenty-seven assists which demonstrated good ball movement despite committing fourteen turnovers during playtime. Free throw accuracy was moderate at sixty-eight percent success from twenty-five attempts.

Conversely, The Clippers showcased tenacity on defense with ten steals and maintained possession effectively by only turning over seven times throughout playtime. They excelled particularly from free throw line shooting eighty-four percent accuracy from thirty-two attempts contributing significantly towards their narrow win margin.
