Can Denver Nuggets' Westbrook and Jokic Outshine Knicks in High-Scoring Affair?

In a recent face-off at Ball Arena, the Denver Nuggets fell to the New York Knicks with a final score of 118-145. This outcome brings the Nuggets' season record to 9-8, while the Knicks improved theirs to 11-7. Despite a high-scoring game, it was not enough for the home team to secure a win.

Nuggets' Standout Performances


The Denver Nuggets saw significant contributions from several players. Russell Westbrook led the team in scoring with 27 points, showcasing his efficiency by shooting 56 percent from the field and making all of his free throw attempts. He also contributed three assists and grabbed three rebounds, alongside two steals and one block, marking an all-around performance.


Nikola Jokic also had a notable game for the Nuggets with 22 points, seven assists, and seven rebounds. His shooting accuracy stood at 45 percent from the field. Jokic's presence on both ends of the court was felt despite not being able to lead his team to victory.


Michael Porter Jr., another key player for Denver, ended up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and securing ten rebounds. His performance from beyond the arc was impressive as he shot 43 percent from three-point range.


Knicks' Dominant Game


On the opposing side, The New York Knicks displayed an exceptional offensive strategy that overwhelmed The Nuggets' defense throughout most of their encounter. The Knicks managed to shoot an astounding 61 percent from field goals and were particularly effective from beyond the arc with a three-point shooting percentage of 53 percent.


Their ability to distribute effectively was evident as they racked up a total of 45 assists compared to The Nuggets’23. Additionally, their fast-paced gameplay allowed them to accumulate significant fast break points totaling at twenty-four.
