The Nuggets struggled defensively throughout the matchup. Despite their efforts, they allowed OKC to score an impressive 45 points in the first quarter alone. The Nugs managed to close some gaps in subsequent quarters but couldn't contain OKC's offensive prowess. Nikola Jokic led Denver with 17 points and contributed six assists and eight rebounds, yet his performance wasn't enough to turn the tide.

Denver's defense was further tested as they allowed OKC to shoot an effective field goal percentage of 65 percent. The Nugs recorded six blocks but were unable to capitalize on turnovers effectively, scoring only 14 points off turnovers compared to OKC's dominant performance.
