First Quarter

The opening quarter saw a strong start from the Wolves, who quickly established dominance with a commanding 40 points. The Nugs managed to put up 28 points but struggled to keep pace with their opponents' offensive surge. Nikola Jokić led Denver's efforts early on, contributing significantly with his scoring and playmaking abilities.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, both teams continued their offensive exchanges. The Nugs found some rhythm and added 35 points to their tally. However, Minnesota maintained control by adding another 32 points of their own. Jamal Murray was instrumental during this period for Denver, showcasing his shooting prowess and facilitating plays.

Third Quarter

The third quarter proved challenging for Denver as they only managed to score 17 points compared to Minnesota's 24. The Wolves' defense tightened up significantly during this period, limiting opportunities for easy baskets from the Nugs. Despite efforts from players like Aaron Gordon and Christian Braun, who were active on both ends of the court, Denver couldn't close the gap.

Fourth Quarter

In an attempt at a comeback in the final quarter, Denver rallied with an impressive display of offense scoring 36 points; however, it wasn't enough as Minnesota countered effectively with another solid performance netting them an additional 30 points. Key contributions came from Hunter Tyson off-the-bench providing energy and hustle plays that kept fans hopeful until time expired.
