First Quarter

The opening quarter set an early tone for what would be a tough game for Denver. The Hornets came out strong, scoring 33 points compared to just 18 from the Nugs. Nikola Jokić was active but found it difficult against Buzz City's defense. Meanwhile, Charlotte's offensive efficiency was evident as they capitalized on fast breaks and second-chance opportunities.

Second Quarter

As the second quarter unfolded, Denver continued to face difficulties in closing gaps defensively and offensively. The team managed only 16 points while allowing another 27 from their opponents. Jamal Murray attempted to rally his teammates with some key plays but couldn't turn things around before halftime.

Third Quarter

In the third quarter, there was a slight improvement in Denver's performance as they scored 23 points; however, this was still overshadowed by Charlotte's consistent scoring ability which matched them point-for-point during this period. Julian Strawther showed promise off-the-bench contributing significantly with his shooting accuracy.

Fourth Quarter

The final quarter saw an uptick in energy from both sides; however it wasn't enough for Denver who ultimately fell short despite putting up their highest-scoring effort of any single period (30). Jalen Pickett displayed resilience by leading several offensive drives that kept fans hopeful until time expired.

This defeat marks another learning opportunity within what has been otherwise successful season thus far - prompting post-game thoughts among players & coaches alike regarding areas needing improvement moving forward into future matchups such as upcoming clash against Los Angeles Lakers scheduled January twentieth ten PM Eastern Time held again here inside familiar confines known affectionately amongst locals simply 'Ball Arena'.
