In their latest encounter, the Pistons secured a narrow victory over Toronto with a score of 129-127. This win was marked by an impressive offensive display where they shot 50 percent from the field and an exceptional 88 percent from the free-throw line. The team also dominated rebounds with a total of 50, outmatching Toronto's 46.

However, consistency remains an issue for Detroit as evidenced by their previous game against Boston Celtics which went into overtime but ended in a loss with a score of 122-128. The Pistons led for most of that game and showcased their ability to compete against top-tier teams.

Against Brooklyn Nets, despite another loss (112-118), Detroit demonstrated tenacity. They managed to lead at various points during the game and were particularly effective on fast breaks scoring 24 points.

The upcoming match presents another opportunity for Detroit to prove its mettle. With recent games showing potential in offense and rebounding capabilities, fans can expect an energetic contest as they go up against Houston Rockets' defense.

The Pistons will need to capitalize on these strengths while addressing turnovers which have been detrimental in past performances. A focus on maintaining possession and efficient shooting could be key factors that tilt this game in favor of Detroit.

Fans can catch all the action live from Toyota Center on January 2nd at Space City Home Network channel 674 or BSDET channel 663 depending on your location.
