The Pistons started strong with a first-quarter performance that saw them rack up 25 points. However, they were unable to maintain this momentum throughout the game. Despite their efforts, they trailed behind the Wizards in each subsequent quarter, adding only 24 points in both the second and fourth quarters and peaking slightly with 26 points in the third.

Detroit's offense was led by their bench players who contributed a notable 25 points to their total score. In terms of shooting accuracy from within the arc, they achieved a respectable two-point field goal percentage of approximately 47 percent by making 28 out of their total attempts. From beyond the arc, however, they struggled with only an approximate three-point shooting percentage of 29 percent.

On defense, Detroit managed to secure six steals and one block but ultimately gave up more ground than they defended. They pulled down a total rebound count of 48 with an offensive board tally standing at eleven which allowed them eighteen second-chance points.

The Wizards demonstrated superior efficiency on both ends of the court. Their bench was particularly impressive as it poured in an impressive forty-four points towards their victory tally. With seven blocks and seven steals defensively coupled with fifty-five rebounds overall – nine being offensive – Washington capitalized on turnovers scoring fifteen points off them.

Washington's field goal percentage stood at approximately fifty-two percent while converting nearly thirty-one percent from three-point range into ten successful shots from deep. They also excelled at free throws hitting roughly eighty-five percent from the line which contributed significantly to maintaining their lead over Detroit throughout all four quarters.
