The Pistons showed resilience throughout the game. They managed to keep up with the Nuggets in scoring during each quarter, posting 29 points in both the first and fourth quarters and 28 points in both the second and third. However, it was not enough to overcome Denver's offensive surge which peaked in their explosive third quarter where they scored an impressive 43 points.

Detroit's offense had notable contributions with bench players adding an impactful 53 points to their total score. The team also demonstrated efficiency from close range by making 33 out of their 65 two-point attempts (51 percent) and scoring heavily from inside the paint with a total of 58 paint points. Additionally, they capitalized on second-chance opportunities by converting eight out of fourteen attempts into an additional 21 points.

On defense though, Detroit struggled as evidenced by their defensive rating of nearly 129; this was reflected in allowing Denver to shoot at an effective field goal percentage of approximately 65 percent. Moreover, despite drawing more fouls than Denver (23 compared to Denver's twenty), they were unable to convert these opportunities into a significant advantage on scoreboard.

Denver's performance was marked by high efficiency across all fronts: shooting nearly seventy percent for free throws made (27 out of thirty-one), achieving ten blocks defensively while maintaining an assist-to-turnover ratio slightly above two-nine.
