At Little Caesars Arena, home of the Detroit Pistons, fans witnessed an intense battle where both teams started strong, each putting up 30 points in the opening quarter. Despite a valiant effort by the home team, which included leading for ten minutes and achieving their biggest lead of eight points, it was not enough to secure a win against their formidable opponents. The visiting Bucks managed to maintain control for over half an hour of game time and achieved their largest lead of eleven points.

The Pistons showed resilience throughout the game with significant contributions from their bench players who added a substantial 63 points to Detroit's total score. They also displayed defensive capabilities by blocking nine shots and drawing 22 fouls from Milwaukee. Offensively, they were able to convert half of their attempts from both two-point range (51 percent) and beyond the arc (33 percent), ending with an overall field goal percentage of 45.

Milwaukee's performance was marked by efficiency on both ends of the court. They blocked eight shots while stealing seven times from Detroit players. Their offensive efforts were bolstered by converting on 58 percent of two-point attempts and securing a free throw percentage of 82. With an effective field goal percentage at exactly half (50 percent), they capitalized on turnovers scoring thirteen points off them.

The game saw twelve instances where scores were tied and sixteen lead changes, indicating how closely contested it was until Milwaukee pulled away towards victory.
