Pistons' Key Performances

Cade Cunningham led the charge for the Pistons with an impressive stat line of 32 points, seven assists, and nine rebounds. His performance was pivotal in securing this victory as he showcased his ability to dominate on both ends of the court. Cunningham's efficiency was evident with his shooting percentages: 54 percent from the field and an outstanding 60 percent from beyond the arc.

Jalen Duren also made significant contributions with a double-double consisting of 16 points and 14 rebounds while maintaining perfect shooting from the field. His presence on defense was equally impactful, recording two blocks and four steals throughout the game.

Malik Beasley added firepower offensively for Detroit by scoring 17 points. His defensive efforts were noteworthy as well, contributing two steals to help contain Houston's offense.

Rockets' Struggle Against Pistons

The Houston Rockets faced challenges in overcoming Detroit's defense despite their attempts to rally back into the game. Their leading scorer managed only a fraction compared to Cunningham’s output, highlighting Detroit’s defensive effectiveness.

Houston struggled from three-point range, converting only 28 percent of their attempts compared to Detroit’s more efficient rate. This discrepancy played a crucial role in determining the outcome as it limited Houston’s ability to close down on Detroit’s lead effectively.
