First Quarter

The game kicked off with the Pistons establishing an early lead by scoring 36 points against the Heat's 23. Detroit's dominance in the paint was evident as they capitalized on their opportunities close to the basket. Jalen Duren played a pivotal role in this quarter, contributing significantly to their offensive efforts.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, both teams ramped up their scoring efforts. The Pistons added another 35 points to their tally while Miami responded with 36 points of their own. Cade Cunningham showcased his playmaking skills by dishing out crucial assists that kept Detroit ahead at halftime.

Third Quarter

The third quarter saw Detroit maintaining its momentum with another impressive performance, adding 37 points to their scoreline. Tobias Harris was instrumental during this period, efficiently converting field goals and keeping Miami at bay despite their attempts to close the gap.

Fourth Quarter

Miami made a valiant comeback attempt in the fourth quarter by scoring an impressive 44 points; however, it wasn't enough to overcome Detroit's lead established earlier in the game. Ausar Thompson and Duncan Robinson were key defensive figures for Motor City as they managed crucial steals that thwarted Miami’s late-game push.

Despite being tied six times throughout and experiencing six lead changes during this intense matchup at Kaseya Center in Miami, it was ultimately Detroit’s ability to capitalize on turnovers—scoring an impressive total of 28 points off them—that secured victory for them over Flash.
