Detroit Pistons chase 3-point lift as San Antonio Spurs open with 38 and control game at Frost Bank Center

The Detroit Pistons left Frost Bank Center with a 45-16 record after a 121-106 setback to the San Antonio Spurs, who improved to 45-17. First quarter


The Detroit Pistons opened with 23 points in the quarter, while the San Antonio Spurs hit 38 to establish early control. The Pistons shot 43 percent from 3-point range for the game, but the Spurs posted 52 points in the paint behind 62 percent on 2-pointers.
