In their last outing against the Toronto Raptors on January 8, GSW fell short despite a valiant effort, succumbing 133-118. The statistics reveal that while Golden State put up an impressive offensive display, scoring 118 points with a true shooting percentage of 55, it was their defense that let them down. They allowed the Raptors an effective field goal percentage of 66 and were outscored in points off turnovers by 11.

However, there were positives to take away from this loss. GSW showed resilience in scoring and bench depth, contributing a substantial 52 points. This depth will be vital against NOP's dynamic squad.

The Warriors' performance against Detroit Pistons two days earlier showcased their ability to close out games – securing a narrow victory with a scoreline of 113-109. Their defensive prowess was more evident here; they held DET to just over one point per possession defensively while managing an offensive rating slightly above that mark themselves.

One aspect where GSW has consistently excelled is their three-point shooting capabilities – hitting at a rate of 42 percent against DET is no small feat and could be pivotal when facing NOP.

The Pelicans will come into this game knowing they face a formidable opponent in Golden State but will also recognize areas where they can exploit weaknesses shown in recent games by GSW. NOP's strategy will likely involve aggressive offense early on, aiming to capitalize on any lapses in Golden State’s defensive concentration.

For fans expecting another high-scoring affair similar to the clash with Toronto may need to temper expectations; both teams have demonstrated strong offensive skills but have also shown vulnerabilities that could lead either side towards adopting more conservative strategies.

As we look toward January 10 at Chase Center for this exciting matchup scheduled for tip-off at 5:30 PM local time (8:30 PM ET), fans should prepare for an intense battle as both teams vie for supremacy on the court. With national coverage provided by ABC and local broadcasts available through NBCS-BA (channel number:696) and BSNO (channel number:676-4), supporters won't miss any action from what promises to be another thrilling chapter in this NBA season.
