The recent performance of the Rockets has been a mixed bag, with moments of brilliance overshadowed by periods of struggle. In their last game against the Clippers on November 3rd, despite a loss with a final score of 101-109, there were positive takeaways. The team managed to out-rebound their opponents with an impressive total rebound count of 55 compared to Clippers' 48. This rebounding strength could be pivotal against the Timberwolves if they can capitalize on second-chance points and control possession.

However, turnovers have been a thorn in HOU's side; they committed 19 in that same game which contributed significantly to their defeat. Ball security will be crucial in Minneapolis if they wish to keep pace with MIN's offense.

Looking at another past performance from October 31st against Phoenix Suns where HOU scored 109 points but allowed an overwhelming 124 points shows defensive vulnerabilities that need addressing. A defensive rating standing at an alarming high suggests that tightening up defense should be top priority for coach Stephen Silas and his squad.

On offense, efficiency is key; while HOU shot nearly 43 percent from the field against Phoenix Suns and had an effective field goal percentage (EFG%) of exactly half during that contest – these numbers need improvement especially from beyond the arc where they only made about one-third of their attempts.

The Timberwolves will not make it easy though; as seen in previous games like on November 1st when MIN edged out over LA Clippers by two points (95-93), they have shown resilience and clutch playmaking abilities down the stretch. Their ability to close out tight games could pose a challenge for HOU who has struggled in such scenarios this season.

In conclusion, while there are areas needing improvement – particularly ball handling and perimeter defense – there is potential within this young Rockets team waiting to be unlocked. It will require collective effort both offensively and defensively if they aim to secure victory away from home soil.
