The Houston Rockets started strong, putting up 34 points in the first quarter but struggled in the second with only 15 points. They regained momentum in the second half, matching their first-quarter performance by scoring another 34 points in both the third and fourth quarters. Despite their efforts and leading for two minutes and ten seconds with a slim biggest lead of two points, it wasn't enough to secure victory.

Houston's offense was firing from all cylinders as they shot an impressive field goal percentage of about 48 percent from the floor and an effective field goal percentage of approximately 57 percent. From beyond the arc, they managed a solid three-point shooting percentage of around 42 percent, sinking 16 three-pointers. Inside paint was also a battleground where they scored about 46 points.

The team's playmaking abilities were on display as well; they dished out a total of 27 assists. However, turnovers were an issue for Houston as they gave up possession on twenty-three occasions which led to twenty-six points for Minnesota. On defense, steals were high at ten but without any blocks recorded during this matchup.

On individual performances for Houston: bench players contributed significantly with thirty-eight bench points while fast break opportunities yielded thirteen fast break points at an efficient conversion rate of approximately seventy-one percent.

Meanwhile, The Minnesota Timberwolves capitalized on their home-court advantage by maintaining control throughout most of the game — leading for over forty-three minutes — thanks largely to their remarkable shooting accuracy which included hitting seventy-two percent from two-point range and forty-five percent from three-point territory. Their free throw accuracy stood out too at eighty percent success rate.

Minnesota's ball movement was superior with thirty-eight assists leading to sixty points scored inside paint alone; this dominance underlined their largest lead during play which stretched to twenty-four points. They also made good use of turnovers by scoring thirty-six off them despite committing twenty-four themselves.
