The Houston Rockets faced a tough challenge against the Memphis Grizzlies, who displayed an impressive offensive performance. Despite their efforts, the Rockets were unable to contain the home team's scoring prowess. The visitors put up 30 points in both the first and fourth quarters and added another 32 in the third quarter. However, it was not enough to match their opponents' consistent scoring across all four quarters.

Houston's offense was led by contributions from their bench players who scored a combined total of 44 points. They also excelled in fast-break situations, converting 93 percent of such opportunities into points and totaling an impressive 32 fast-break points for the game. In terms of shooting efficiency, they managed to hit over half of their field goal attempts with a shooting percentage of 54 and were particularly effective inside with a paint shooting percentage of nearly 66.

On defense though, there were struggles as they allowed an overwhelming number of points against them – totaling at 151 by game end – which overshadowed their own offensive output. The team recorded seven steals and three blocks but ultimately could not slow down Memphis' attack.

The Grizzlies capitalized on every opportunity presented to them throughout this encounter. They shot an outstanding field goal percentage just above 61 percent and were even more lethal from beyond the arc hitting almost 60 percent from three-point range which contributed significantly to their substantial lead that peaked at an imposing margin of forty-one points during playtime.
