In their most recent game against Miami Heat, despite scoring an impressive 113 points and shooting an excellent 89 percent from the free-throw line, they fell short by seven points. Their three-point shooting was modest at 34 percent, but they excelled in second-chance points with a high conversion rate of 62 percent. However, defensive challenges were evident as they allowed 120 points with a defensive rating of over 123.

The game prior saw them clinch a victory over Milwaukee Bucks with better control on defense and an offensive rating that edged out their opponents'. They led for most of this game thanks to contributions from both starters and bench players who added a significant 43 points.

However, consistency remains an issue for Houston as evidenced by their performance against Minnesota Timberwolves where they suffered defensively. They allowed a whopping 122 points while only managing to score 95 themselves. This highlighted areas that need tightening up before facing Chicago's squad.

The upcoming match is crucial for setting the tone for future games. The United Center is known for its energetic atmosphere which could play into Chicago's hands; however, it also offers an opportunity for Houston to make a statement on the road.
