The opening quarter saw both teams battling for dominance. The Rockets managed to put up 26 points, with Kevin Durant leading their charge by contributing significantly on offense. However, the Mavs edged ahead slightly with a total of 29 points in this period.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, Houston's offensive efforts were spearheaded by Jabari Smith Jr., who showcased his scoring ability by adding crucial points to keep H-Town competitive. Despite their efforts and scoring 31 points in this quarter alone, Dallas maintained their lead with consistent shooting and added another 28 points to their tally.

Third Quarter

As play resumed after halftime, the third quarter proved pivotal for Big D as they surged forward with an impressive display of fast-break opportunities and efficient shooting from inside the paint. The Mavs scored a remarkable 37 points during this period compared to Houston's 20. This stretch widened Dallas' lead significantly.

Fourth Quarter

In an attempt to rally back in the final quarter, Red Nation intensified its defensive plays and managed to outscore Dallas by putting up another strong performance with Aaron Holiday making impactful plays on both ends of the court.
