In an intense matchup at the Paycom Center, the Los Angeles Clippers struggled to maintain their early momentum against a resilient Oklahoma City Thunder. Despite a valiant effort that saw them lead briefly by two points and spend three minutes and thirty-two seconds in control, the Clippers ultimately succumbed to the home team's pressure.

The Clippers' performance was highlighted by their bench contributing a significant 51 points to their total score. The team also showcased defensive tenacity with an impressive 14 blocks throughout the game but could not capitalize on this advantage as they turned over possession nineteen times. Their shooting from beyond the arc was modest, converting ten out of thirty-one attempts for a three-point shooting percentage of approximately 32 percent.

On offense, inside scoring was a strong suit for the Clippers as they made half of their points in paint attempts. They were also efficient from free throw line making fourteen out of eighteen shots which translates to roughly 78 percent accuracy. However, despite these efforts and securing forty-seven personal rebounds during playtime, it wasn't enough to overcome Thunder's defense which limited them to an offensive rating just over ninety-one.

The Oklahoma City Thunder demonstrated cohesive playmaking with nineteen assists and capitalized on turnovers scoring twenty-three points off them compared to only three by LA team. The home side dominated in paint scoring sixty-two points and outrebounded their opponents with sixty-nine rebounds including twenty-one offensive boards leading to twenty-six second-chance points.
