Clippers Clipped by Hawks' Sharp Shooting at Crypto.com Arena

The Los Angeles Clippers, with a 42-25 record, faced off against the Atlanta Hawks, standing at 30-37. The Clippers were crushed by the shorthanded Hawks 110-93 to snap a three-game losing streak.

The Los Angeles Clippers entered the Crypto.com Arena with confidence but found themselves outpaced by a sharpshooting Atlanta Hawks team. Despite a valiant run in the fourth quarter where they scored 31 points, their highest in any quarter that night, it was not enough to overcome the deficit created earlier in the game.

The Clippers' performance was highlighted by their zone defense as they matched the Hawks with ten steals and blocked five shots. However, this defensive effort could not compensate for their struggles on offense. The Clippers shot only 38 percent from the field compared to an efficient display from Atlanta who managed a solid 49 percent shooting accuracy.

However, despite drawing more fouls than their opponents (22), it wasn't enough for The Clippers to close down or overtake them on scoreboards.

Rebounding also played a crucial role in this matchup as both teams grabbed over 40 rebounds each – 44 for the Clippers and forty-nine for the Hawks – but it was ultimately how those rebounds translated into second-chance points that mattered most; here too did Atlanta excel with 11 second-chance points against 10 from the home team.
