The Clippers started strong with an impressive first quarter but were eventually outpaced by the Suns' relentless attack. Despite nine steals and three blocks showcasing their defensive efforts, the Clippers could not contain the Suns' scoring prowess. The home team's efficiency rating stood at 115 compared to their opponents' 149.

LA's offense was led by contributions across the board with bench players adding a significant 35 points to their total tally. However, it was in points from turnovers where they fell short, scoring only 13 points from this avenue as opposed to the Suns’ more opportunistic 19-point haul.

In terms of shooting accuracy, both teams performed admirably from beyond the arc; however, it was inside where differences became apparent. The Clippers made over half of their two-point attempts at a rate of 54 percent but were outdone by Phoenix’s impressive paint performance which saw them convert on an astounding 62 percent of attempts within that area.

Rebounding also played a crucial role in this matchup as both teams fought hard under the glass. The home side managed to secure nine offensive rebounds contributing to eight second-chance points – equaling that of their adversaries despite fewer opportunities (eight attempts for LA versus ten for Phoenix).
