In their last game against the Grizzlies, despite putting up 93 points and maintaining a tight defensive stance with 7 blocks and 5 steals, they fell short by 10 points. Their shooting from beyond the arc was less than stellar at only 27 percent, which they will need to improve upon if they hope to counteract the Grizzlies' offense. However, their efforts in paint were commendable with 50 points scored from that area.

The previous encounter before that saw an impressive offensive display by the Lakers as they racked up 128 points against their opponents. Their field goal percentage was strong at over half of their attempts finding success and an even more impressive three-point shooting performance at around 43 percent accuracy. They also dominated on fast breaks scoring an impressive number of fast break points.
