Can the Memphis Grizzlies Overcome Denver Nuggets at Ball Arena?

As the Memphis Grizzlies prepare to face off against the Denver Nuggets at Ball Arena, fans are eager to see if their team can carry forward the momentum from their recent nail-biting victory over the New Orleans Pelicans. The Grizzlies, who have been struggling with a 10-21 record, managed to clinch a win in overtime by just one point, finishing with a score of 116-115 on December 27. This victory showcased their resilience and ability to perform under pressure.

The game against the Pelicans highlighted several key strengths for MEM. Their defensive prowess was on full display as they racked up an impressive 17 blocks and 10 steals. Offensively, they were able to capitalize on fast breaks, scoring 23 points from such opportunities and shooting an efficient 64 percent from two-point range. Despite this strong performance, there are areas of concern; MEM only made 24 percent of their three-point attempts and had a high turnover rate with a total of 18.

In contrast, DEN has been performing well this season with an admirable record that speaks volumes about their consistency and skill level. However, it's worth noting that in games where opponents have matched or exceeded DEN's intensity on both ends of the floor, they've shown vulnerability.

Looking back at MEM's game against Atlanta Hawks on December 24 where they won by six points (125-119), we saw them dominate inside with an astounding number of points in paint (76) while maintaining control throughout most parts of the game. This inside dominance coupled with better ball distribution leading to higher assists could be crucial factors when facing DEN.

MEM must also focus on reducing turnovers which have plagued them in past games; having given away possession eighteen times against NOP is something that needs immediate attention if they wish to stand toe-to-toe with DEN’s formidable lineup.

The upcoming clash promises excitement as both teams bring contrasting styles onto the court – MEM’s gritty defense versus DEN’s balanced attack. It will be interesting to see how MEM adjusts its strategy after analyzing its previous performances – especially considering how close these games have been decided recently.

Grizzlies fans should mark their calendars for December 28 at Ball Arena where tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 PM local time (MT). The match will be broadcasted live on BSSE channel number 649 for away fans wanting to catch all action from home comforts or those planning to attend can witness it unfold live in Denver.
