Clash at FedExForum: Memphis Grizzlies Set to Host New York Knicks

As the Memphis Grizzlies prepare to host the New York Knicks at FedExForum, fans are eager to see if their team can continue their recent momentum. The Grizzlies have shown a remarkable ability to bounce back, and their performance in the past few games suggests they might be turning a corner this season.

In their last outing on December 24 against the Atlanta Hawks, the Grizzlies put up an impressive 125 points. Their scoring was well-distributed across quarters, with a particularly explosive third quarter where they racked up 40 points. This offensive outburst was backed by solid shooting from both inside and beyond the arc, hitting 60 percent of two-point attempts and maintaining a three-point shooting percentage of 33 percent. Despite trailing for most of the game, they managed to lead for almost 15 minutes and secured a six-point victory.

The game before that saw MEM take on the Indiana Pacers at home on December 22. The Grizzlies led for over 43 minutes in this matchup, showcasing their dominance with a commanding largest lead of 23 points. They were efficient from downtown with an impressive three-point shooting percentage of nearly 46 percent and maintained strong defense throughout.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing for MEM as evidenced by their performance against the New Orleans Pelicans on December 20. Despite winning by two points, they only led for less than seven minutes throughout that contest but showed resilience by overcoming a deficit.

The upcoming game against NYK presents an opportunity for MEM to capitalize on these performances. The Knicks will be no easy opponent; however, given that MEM has been improving its offensive efficiency while also showing signs of tightening up defensively—evident from holding opponents close in terms of possessions—the home advantage could play into Memphis's hands.

MEM fans should look out for how well their team can control turnovers and maintain defensive pressure while exploiting any weaknesses in NYK's armor—especially considering NYK's tendency towards inconsistency this season.

The scheduled face-off between these two teams is set for January 13 at FedExForum in Memphis with tip-off at 8:00 PM ET (7:00 PM CT). Fans can catch all the action live on BSSE or MSG networks depending on their location.
