Clash at FedExForum: Memphis Grizzlies Set to Host Orlando Magic

As the Memphis Grizzlies prepare to host the Orlando Magic at FedExForum, fans are eager for what promises to be an exhilarating matchup. The Grizzlies, coming off a recent victory against the Atlanta Hawks with a score of 125-119 on December 24th, have shown they can pull through in high-scoring affairs.

In that game, the Grizzlies demonstrated their offensive prowess by scoring 40 points in the third quarter and maintaining a strong presence in the paint with 76 points. Despite their less-than-stellar season record of nine wins and nineteen losses before that game, their performance showed significant potential for improvement.

The team's efficiency rating was impressive at 153, and they managed to maintain a lead for nearly fifteen minutes of playtime. Their fast-break execution was nearly flawless at 90 percent success rate resulting in 21 fast-break points. This aggressive playstyle could be crucial against Orlando.

However, it's not just about offense; defense plays an equally important role. The defensive efforts were notable as well with seven blocks and six steals contributing to their win over Atlanta. But there is room for growth as evidenced by allowing the Hawks to score almost as much as they did.

Looking back further into their season provides additional insights into how Memphis might fare against Orlando Magic. On December 22nd against Indiana Pacers, Memphis secured another win (116-103) while leading for over forty-three minutes of game time – showcasing their ability to control the pace of the game effectively.

Their bench depth was also highlighted during this match as bench players contributed a substantial forty points towards their victory while also showing strength on defensive rebounds with thirty-three collected by them alone.

The upcoming contest will test whether Memphis can continue this upward trajectory or if inconsistencies will plague them once more. With players like Ja Morant who can explode offensively any given night and Jaren Jackson Jr., who provides solid defense inside, there’s reason for optimism among fans.

Orlando Magic should not be underestimated though; despite being visitors they'll come looking to disrupt home court advantage and secure a win themselves which means Memphis must stay vigilant throughout all four quarters if they wish to emerge victorious once again.

Grizzlies supporters should mark January 26th on their calendars when these two teams face off at FedExForum in Memphis starting at 8:00 PM ET (7:00 PM CT). Fans can catch all action live on BSSE channel number 649 or BSFL channel number 654 depending on location ensuring no one misses out on what is sure to be an engaging battle between these two NBA franchises.
