The Grizzlies have faced a tough series of games leading up to this match. In their last encounter against the Los Angeles Lakers, despite a high-scoring affair that ended 124-136 in favor of the Lakers, Memphis showed flashes of brilliance. They managed to score 56 points in the paint and added 54 bench points, showcasing their depth and ability to penetrate defenses. However, defensive struggles were evident as they allowed 136 points against them.

In Denver against the Nuggets, Memphis faced another setback with a final score of 103-128. The team's shooting efficiency dropped significantly compared to previous games, hitting only 39 percent from the field and struggling from beyond the arc with a mere 25 percent success rate. This game highlighted areas for improvement in shooting accuracy and defensive solidity.

However, it was not all gloom for Memphis; their resilience shone through during their visit to San Antonio against the Spurs. Despite being on a losing streak, they secured a narrow victory with a final score of 99-97. This win was built on solid defense that limited San Antonio to just under forty percent shooting from the field and showcased Memphis's ability to close out tight games.

As we look ahead to their clash with Orlando Magic at Kia Center, it is clear that consistency will be key for Memphis. Improving defensive efforts and finding rhythm in offense will be crucial components if they aim to secure a win away from home.
