First Quarter

The Grizzlies started strong, outscoring the Sixers with an impressive 40 points compared to Philadelphia's 34. Ja Morant led Memphis with his dynamic playmaking and scoring ability, contributing significantly to their early lead.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, both teams displayed offensive prowess. The Sixers managed to close the gap slightly by scoring 38 points against Memphis' 32. Jaren Jackson Jr.'s defensive efforts were notable as he recorded multiple blocks that kept Memphis competitive.

Third Quarter

As the third quarter unfolded, Cedric Coward emerged as a key player for Memphis with his rebounding and scoring efficiency. However, despite their efforts and maintaining a slim lead throughout much of this period, they scored only 28 points compared to Philadelphia's consistent performance.

Fourth Quarter

Heading into the final quarter tied closely on scores from previous periods, both teams battled fiercely. The Grizzlies managed another set of solid plays but were matched point-for-point by Philadelphia's relentless offense led by Tyrese Maxey.

Overtime

Overtime saw intense action where every possession counted. Although Santi Aldama contributed crucial points off fast breaks for Memphis during this period; it was not enough as Philly edged them out with an additional push from Joel Embiid’s clutch free throws sealing their victory.

Despite falling short in overtime against such formidable opponents like 'the Process', there is much optimism surrounding 'Grit and Grind'.
