Memphis Grizzlies ride 42-point third quarter past Chicago Bulls at FedExForum

The Memphis Grizzlies moved to 25-49 after a 125-124 result against the Chicago Bulls, who entered at 29-45, at 8:00 PM EDT at FedExForum.

First quarter


The Memphis Grizzlies scored 28 in the opening quarter while the Chicago Bulls scored 30 in the same stretch.

Second quarter


The Grizzlies added 28 in the second quarter and the Bulls answered with 28 as the game stayed tight with 18 ties overall.


Memphis leaned on ball movement with 31 assists while Chicago produced 26 assists, a snapshot of how often both teams reached the paint and kickouts.


Third quarter


The Grizzlies swung the night by putting up 42 in the third quarter, their biggest scoring quarter in the game.

Memphis finished with 14 turnovers compared with Chicago’s 23, and that gap supported a plus-1 margin that held through the final horn.


The Memphis Grizzlies post-match stats also showed 59 bench points, while the Bulls got 46 bench points in a game with 13 lead changes.
