In their recent outing against the Detroit Pistons at home, Miami struggled defensively, allowing 116 points and suffering a 20-point deficit. Despite matching Detroit in rebounds with 49 each and putting up a solid free throw percentage of 77 percent, turnovers and lower field goal efficiency hindered their performance. The team's three-point shooting was notably below par at just 31 percent.

The previous game saw Miami on the road against Memphis Grizzlies where they lost by an eight-point margin. Here again, turnovers were an issue with 17 given away leading to points for Memphis. However, there were positives as well; they outrebounded their opponents by five and had a better showing from beyond the arc hitting 35 percent of their threes.

Looking back further at another road game versus Boston Celtics that went into overtime showcases Miami's resilience. They managed to score impressively with a total of 120 points but ultimately fell short by four points in extra time. Their two-point field goal percentage stood strong at over half made (56 percent), but turnovers continued as a weak point.

The upcoming game is crucial for Miami as they aim to improve upon these performances and turn around their recent fortunes. Defensive adjustments will be key in containing the Clippers' offense while capitalizing on scoring opportunities inside will be essential for success.

Fans can catch this exciting encounter scheduled for December 9th at Kaseya Center in Miami starting from half-past midnight Eastern Time on NBA TV channel number 216 or BSSUN channel number 653 depending on your location.
