The Miami Heat's previous game against the Philadelphia 76ers on December 26 showcased their resilience and ability to close out games. With a final score of 119-113, it was evident that Miami's offense was firing on all cylinders. They dominated in points in the paint with 50 points, showcasing an aggressive approach that will be crucial against Charlotte. Their bench contributed significantly with 27 points, indicating depth that could prove pivotal in maintaining momentum when starters rest.

Defensively, Miami also made its presence felt by blocking seven shots and stealing five times from Philadelphia. This defensive prowess will need to be at its peak once again as they face a Hornets team known for their agility and scoring capabilities.

The Heat's victory over Atlanta Hawks on December 23 further solidified their status as contenders this season. A high-scoring affair ended with Miami triumphing over Atlanta by nine points (122-113). The team showed exceptional shooting from beyond the arc at nearly 44 percent success rate which stretched Atlanta’s defense throughout the game.

However, it wasn't just about offense; Miami displayed a balanced effort by pulling down more rebounds than Atlanta (57-52) and dishing out more assists (21-29). This all-around team performance is something they'll look to replicate against Charlotte.

Looking back even further, Miami’s away victory over Orlando Magic on December 21 by nine points (115-106) highlighted another aspect of their gameplay: bench strength. The bench poured in an impressive 51 points which played a significant role in securing that win.

As we turn our attention towards Charlotte Hornets, it’s clear they cannot be underestimated despite any struggles they may have had this season. They bring speed and youthful energy that can disrupt any opponent on a given night.

In conclusion, if recent performances are anything to go by, fans should expect an intense battle where Miami looks poised to leverage home-court advantage at Kaseya Center – but not without facing stiff competition from the visiting Hornets who will undoubtedly come prepared for an upset.

Fans can catch all of this action live on BSSUN or BSSE depending on their location or head down to Kaseya Center in Miami where tip-off is scheduled at 6:00 PM Eastern Time on January 14th.
