The game took place at Kia Center in Orlando, where 18,102 fans witnessed an intense battle between these two Florida rivals. The Miami Heat started off with energy but were quickly outpaced by the home team's performance. Despite having more steals (9) and assists (22), the Heat could not convert their efforts into enough points on the board. They shot only 38 percent from field goals and an even lower 32 percent from beyond the arc.

Miami's bench contributed a notable 25 points but this was closely matched by Orlando's bench who put up 26 points. The biggest lead for Miami was just six points and they spent only about five minutes in total ahead of their opponents during gameplay. On defense, they managed to block only one shot compared to five blocks by Orlando.

One of Miami's few highlights was their free throw accuracy which stood at an impressive 83 percent; however, this did not compensate for their overall shooting inefficiency or their inability to dominate inside as reflected by just ten second-chance points and thirty-six paint points.

Orlando capitalized on turnovers scoring a significant number of points (29) off them while also dominating second-chance opportunities with twenty-three second-chance points thanks to a commanding presence under both baskets that led them to grab fifty-six rebounds over Miami’s forty-four.

Looking forward after this setback, fans can catch the next game for Miami Heat when they host Memphis Grizzlies at Kaseya Center in Miami on January 24th at 6:30 PM Eastern Time. This encounter will be available for viewing on BSSUN channel number six hundred fifty-three or BSSE channel number six hundred forty-nine for those following from away territories.
