The Miami Heat started strong in their home court, leading for 27:43 minutes of game time and achieving their biggest lead of 11 points. Despite this advantage and a more aggressive presence in the paint that resulted in 62 points from that area alone, they couldn't maintain their dominance throughout all four quarters. The team's field goal percentage stood at 45 percent after attempting a total of 95 shots. From beyond the arc, they made just ten out of thirty-three attempts, translating to a three-point shooting percentage of only thirty percent.

Defensively, the Heat managed to block six shots and steal possession nine times from their opponents. They also drew eighteen fouls but were less effective from the free-throw line than desired; they made twelve out of eighteen free throws which amounted to sixty-seven percent success rate. The bench contributed significantly as well with twenty-seven points but it wasn't enough to secure victory.

On rebounding efforts, Miami excelled by securing fifty-eight rebounds - sixteen offensive and thirty-five defensive - showcasing their ability to control both ends of the court when it came to second-chance opportunities.

The Washington Wizards put up an impressive fight despite being behind for most part of the game; they led for only seventeen minutes and one second but managed to take advantage when it mattered most. Their field goal accuracy was higher at forty-eight percent including fifty-five percent from two-point range which helped them stay within striking distance throughout all four quarters.
