In their previous outing against the Washington Wizards, Miami displayed an impressive offensive efficiency rating of 116.94, outscoring their opponents 119-107. Their defensive prowess was also evident as they held the Wizards to an efficiency rating of 100.71. The team's balanced scoring attack was complemented by a solid defense that recorded eight blocks and eleven steals.

The game prior saw an even more dominant performance from Miami as they crushed the Portland Trail Blazers with a staggering scoreline of 142-82. The Heat's offensive rating soared to 137.97 while maintaining a defensive rating of just 77.47, highlighting their capacity for overwhelming their opponents on both sides of the ball.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing for Miami; in an earlier matchup against Golden State Warriors, they fell short with a score of 92-113. Despite this setback, there were still positives to draw upon – such as maintaining an assists turnover ratio above three in each game – which suggests that when they control possession and distribute effectively, they're hard to beat.

Heading into Atlanta's territory comes with its challenges; playing away can test any team's resilience and adaptability. But if recent performances are anything to go by, Miami has shown that they have what it takes to come out on top even in hostile environments.
