The third quarter saw them add another 39 points before closing out with a strong finish of 43 points in the fourth quarter. This relentless scoring effort was supported by an effective field goal percentage of 56 percent and a remarkable three-point shooting accuracy of 44 percent.

Tyler Herro led Miami's charge with his efficient shooting, contributing significantly to their total score. The team's bench players were equally impactful, adding substantial depth to their performance. Alec Burks contributed twelve points off the bench while maintaining solid defensive pressure alongside his teammates.

Pelicans' Struggles Against Miami

On the other side of the court, New Orleans struggled to keep pace with Miami’s high-octane offense. Despite putting up some resistance in certain stretches—scoring thirty-two points in their best quarter—the Pelicans were unable to close any significant gaps throughout the game.

Their shooting percentages reflected these struggles; they managed only forty percent from field goals overall and converted just thirty-eight percent from beyond the arc. While they did find some success inside through paint plays—scoring forty-six paint points—it wasn't enough against Miami’s defensive setup which allowed them limited opportunities for fast breaks or second-chance scores.

New Orleans’ efforts were further hampered by turnovers; they committed fifteen compared to nine by Miami which translated into twenty additional turnover-induced points for their opponents—a critical factor that widened this matchup’s margin significantly.
