Did Miami Heat's Fourth Quarter Falter Against Orlando Magic?

The Miami Heat, now standing at 0-1 in the preseason, faced off against the Orlando Magic at Coliseo de Puerto Rico. The game concluded with a score of 126-118 in favor of the Magic, who improved their record to 1-0. Despite a strong start by the Heat, they were unable to maintain their lead through all four quarters.

First Quarter


The opening quarter saw an energetic start from the Miami Heat as they took an early lead with a score of 29 points compared to Orlando's 21. Andrew Wiggins was instrumental during this period, contributing significantly with his shooting accuracy and scoring prowess.


Second Quarter


In the second quarter, both teams displayed competitive play. The Heat managed to extend their lead slightly by scoring 32 points while allowing only 29 from the Magic. Bam Adebayo showcased his defensive skills with crucial rebounds that kept Miami ahead.


Third Quarter


The third quarter marked a turning point for Orlando as they surged back into contention by outscoring Miami with an impressive 40-point effort against Miami's consistent performance of another 32 points. Precious Achiuwa made notable contributions on defense but struggled to contain Orlando’s offensive push.


Fourth Quarter


As tensions rose in the final quarter, it was clear that fatigue began affecting both teams' performances. However, it was Orlando who capitalized on key moments and managed to secure victory by adding another substantial tally of 36 points over Miami’s reduced output of just 25 points in this decisive period.
