Second Quarter

As the second quarter unfolded, Utah responded with a surge of their own. The Jazz outscored Miami 35-20 during this period, capitalizing on their ability to draw fouls and convert free throws at an impressive rate of 87 percent. Despite this setback for Miami, Davion Mitchell continued to display his shooting prowess by maintaining a perfect field goal percentage from his previous performance.

Third Quarter

The third quarter saw both teams battling fiercely for control. The Heat managed to narrow the gap slightly by scoring 30 points against Utah's 24. Jaime Jaquez Jr.'s defensive efforts were notable as he recorded two blocks and two steals during this period. However, it was clear that Miami needed more than individual brilliance as they struggled with turnovers throughout the game.

Fourth Quarter

In a tightly contested final quarter, both teams exchanged leads multiple times before settling into an intense finish. Although Miami scored 29 points in this segment compared to Utah’s 30, it was not enough to secure victory as they fell short with a final score of 115-111 in favor of the Jazz.

Despite losing ground in key moments due to turnovers and missed opportunities from free throws—where they shot only 68 percent—the Heat demonstrated resilience through effective three-point shooting (33 percent) which kept them competitive until late into playtime.
