The Bucks started strong in the first quarter with 25 points but were outpaced by the Pelicans who scored 26. The second quarter saw Milwaukee adding only 20 points to their tally while New Orleans surged ahead with an impressive 35 points. The third quarter brought renewed vigor to the Bucks as they scored 28 points, but it was matched by New Orleans' consistent performance of scoring another 24 points. In a tense final quarter, Milwaukee managed to put up an additional 27 points; however, it wasn't enough to close down on New Orleans' lead who secured another 22 points.

Milwaukee's offensive efforts were led by their ability to convert two-point attempts at a rate of fifty-six percent and three-point shots at thirty-six percent accuracy. They also excelled in fast-break situations, converting seventy-eight percent of these opportunities into seventeen fast-break points. However, struggles from the free-throw line were evident as they made just over half of their attempts.

The Bucks also gathered fifty-five total rebounds compared to sixty by the Pelicans.

The most unanswered run for Milwaukee was seven consecutive points during which they improved from trailing behind at seventy-one up until reaching seventy-four against New Orleans’ score before being overtaken again.
