On defense, Minnesota held Denver's fast break opportunities down while capitalizing on theirs with fifty percent efficiency from twelve attempts resulting in thirteen fast break points. Their defensive strategy effectively limited Denver's scoring opportunities and played a key role in securing this victory.


The Nuggets fought valiantly throughout but couldn't overcome Minnesota's third-quarter surge and consistent pressure across both ends of the court. Despite leading for over twenty-seven minutes during various stages of play and establishing a twenty-point lead at one time, they struggled against Minnesota’s aggressive defense which ultimately led to their downfall.
