The Timberwolves started strong in the first quarter, outscoring the Mavericks 32-26. Their momentum continued into the second quarter where they added another 28 points compared to Dallas's 22. By halftime, Minnesota had built an impressive lead.


However, things began to shift in the third quarter when Dallas scored 31 points while Minnesota managed only 26. The final quarter saw another surge from Dallas as they put up 30 points against Minnesota's 22. This late-game push by the Mavericks ultimately sealed their victory.

Key performances for Minnesota included their balanced team effort with seven blocks and seven steals matching those of their opponents. They also recorded more assists than Dallas with a total of twenty-six assists compared to twenty-four by their rivals.


Minnesota’s bench contributed significantly by scoring thirty-six points while maintaining an effective field goal percentage of forty-eight percent overall. Despite these efforts, they struggled with turnovers and missed opportunities on fast breaks and second-chance attempts.


Dallas capitalized on these mistakes and maintained high efficiency throughout key moments in both offense and defense.
