Second Quarter

As play resumed in the second quarter, both teams struggled offensively. The Twolves' shooting percentage hovered around 38 percent for field goals. Despite this challenge, Julius Randle showed his versatility by adding points and securing rebounds for his team. However, it was not enough to extend their lead significantly as they went into halftime leading by just a few points.

Third Quarter

The third quarter saw an offensive spark from Terrence Shannon Jr., who scored efficiently with an impressive field goal percentage of 80 percent during this period. His performance helped maintain Minnesota's narrow lead over New York as they added another 27 points to their tally.

Fourth Quarter

In a dramatic fourth quarter, Anthony Edwards stepped up for Minnesota but faced stiff competition from a resilient Knicks squad that scored heavily in this period. Despite Edwards' efforts and contributions across various stats categories including scoring and defense, New York managed to tie up proceedings at full time thanks largely due to their bench strength which contributed significantly throughout.

Overtime

Overtime proved decisive as fatigue set in on both sides; however it was ultimately New York who capitalized better on opportunities presented during these final moments of play - scoring double what Minnesota could muster (10-5). This late surge handed them victory over visiting Timberwolves with final score reading: Knicks 100 - Wolves 95.
