Minnesota Timberwolves Outlast New Orleans Pelicans in Overtime Thriller

The Minnesota Timberwolves improved their record to 13-8 after a hard-fought victory over the New Orleans Pelicans, who now stand at 3-19. The game concluded with a score of 149-142 in favor of the Wolves, showcasing an intense battle that extended into overtime.

First Quarter


The opening quarter saw the Wolves taking an early lead with a solid performance, scoring 31 points against the Pelicans' 25. Rudy Gobert was instrumental during this period, contributing significantly on both ends of the court.


Second Quarter


In the second quarter, the Pels made a strong comeback by scoring 43 points. Despite this surge from New Orleans, Minnesota managed to keep pace with key plays from Anthony Edwards and Naz Reid. The Twolves ended this quarter trailing slightly but remained competitive.


Third Quarter


The third quarter was pivotal as Minnesota regained momentum by putting up an impressive 42 points. Jaden McDaniels showcased his shooting prowess during this period, helping his team regain control and setting up for an exciting finish.


Fourth Quarter


As both teams entered the final regulation period neck-and-neck, it was clear that neither side would relent easily. The Wolves scored 29 points while maintaining defensive pressure to limit New Orleans to just enough for overtime contention.


Overtime
