Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Clippers Trade Buckets at Intuit Dome as Anthony Edwards Leads the Pack

The Minnesota Timberwolves moved to 40-26 after a 153-128 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, who went to 33-32 at Intuit Dome.

First quarter


The Timberwolves put up 27 in the opening quarter while the Clippers hit 38 to take the early edge.


The Wolves shot 60 percent from the field in the game and got 68 points in the paint, but they also finished with 21 turnovers that fed the Clippers’ 28 points off turnovers.


Second quarter


The Timberwolves added 38 in the second quarter as Anthony Edwards carried the scoring load with 36 points.


The Pack also leaned on ball movement with 32 assists, while the Clippers countered with 36 assists and 16 steals that kept possessions tilted their way.


Naz Reid produced 18 points for Minnesota, and the Clippers kept converting with 63 percent shooting as the pace stayed high into halftime.


Third quarter


The Timberwolves scored 33 in the third quarter and continued to cash in at the rim with 83 percent shooting on attempts at the basket.


Rudy Gobert posted 9 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists as Minnesota kept the offense organized, but the Clippers stayed ahead by shooting 51 percent from 3 point range as part of 19 made 3 pointers.
